Mortal Kombat X is an upcoming fighting video game currently in development by NetherRealm Studios. It is the tenth main title in the Mortal Kombat series ("X" being the Roman numeral for ten, despite the phonetic pronunciation). The game's release is scheduled for April 14, 2015, in addition to being developed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, and will be ported to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 by High Voltage Software. A mobile version for iOS and Android devices is being developed by NetherRealm's mobile team.
